How to uninstall a licence

Warning: uninstalling TOCR licences requires you to use a DOS prompt/Windows command line. If you are unfamiliar with a command line interface, please exercise caution when using these instructions, as the uninstall program can strip all your TOCR licences.

In order to use the uninstall licence facility, you will need to have installed a TOCR 3 or 4 or 5 licence using the Version 4.0 or Version 5 licensing program. If you installed your TOCR licence before September 2012, you will not have used this program, please contact us for further information.

If you installed your TOCR licence after September 2012, and you licensed a copy of TOCR Version 3 or 4 or 5, you can use the uninstall licence facility.

To uninstall your Version 5 licence:

  • Open a Windows command prompt or DOS box from the programs menu. You then have two options.
    • Enter ” LicenceC5 /u” (no quotations marks) and press the return key. This will remove ALL (V1, V2, V3, V4, V5) non-volume, non-timed licences from your system.
    • You can also remove a specific licence by entering ” LicenceC4 /u XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX” (no quotation marks) and press the return key. Be careful removing individual licences this way. If XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX is not a valid licence number then this command will behave as if no licence key had been entered and remove all licences.

To uninstall your Version 4 licence:

  • Open a Windows command prompt or DOS box from the programs menu. You then have two options.
    • Enter ” LicenceC4 /u” (no quotations marks) and press the return key.
